Apple has updated QuickTime 7
QuickTime Player 7.6.6 for Mac OS X v10.6.3
QuickTime Player 7 supports older media formats, such as QTVR, interactive QuickTime movies, and MIDI files on Snow Leopard
I had hoped that it would improve the handling of stills in the timeline of iMovie HD projects under Snow Leopard. Alas, no.
For those not aware of the issue. iMovie HD functions under Snow Leopard (Mac OSX 10.6) except for the way it handles still images. I have looked at alternatives but so far I haven’t found anything that quite matches iMovie HD.
