Engenious Workshops

Five workshops in partnership with the Universities of Salford and Southampton and funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering. Workshops for engineers to tell stories about their career and achievements to raise public awareness of the profession and inspire young people to consider a future in engineering. More details below.

Salford
To be held in the Newton Building of the University of Salford. Thursdays May 7th, 14th & 21st.

Birmingham
A workshop in Birmingham, in partnership with Engineers Without Borders, is planned for Sunday May 10th, Saturday May 16th and Sunday May 17th 2009

Southampton NB new dates
This workshop will be held at The University of Southampton on three Tuesdays April 21st & 28th & May 5th. Workshops are FREE but you have to able to attend all three dates and book you place. You can download a flyer or contact Dr Steve Dorney for more details.

Faiths Forum
Storycircles in Leeds to gather the experience of people in the faith communities of the Yorkshire and Humber region. May 2009

East Dorset
A series of workshops for trainers and young people in partnership with East Dorset Council's Arts Development Team. These workshops take place in June 2009 in Wimborne Minster.

Culture Shock
Culture Shock is a large scale digital storytelling project in the North East involving Tyne and Wear Museums. I trained the teams that will be delivering the workshops. Watch out for Culture Shock events if you live in the North East - there will be a lot of free workshops on offer.

Homeless Voice

Training tutors at Accrington and Rossendale College running the Homeless Voice storytelling project at the college.

Training Trainers Course

These 4 day courses equip you to run your own digital storytelling projects and workshops. You create your own digital story so that you not only understand the techniques but also the experience of telling your own story.

The workshop is based around the Apple iLife suite of programs although the principles hold true for any kind of computer and digital editing software. All equipment is supplied; you need only bring a story and some images as the basis for your digital story.

To book your place on a future course or for more information please email me and you will receive an application form. The cost is £500.00 ea + VAT. Accommodation isn't included in this price.
